What is a meme?
a cultural item in the form of an image, video, phrase, etc., that is spread via the Internet and often altered in a creative or humorous way.
What is memeIt.net's policy on generating memes?
I see an offensive meme, what do I do?
On each meme listing there is a "Report meme" button. Please use this feature to report a meme that is questionable to us. The meme will immediately be hidden from public view and our moderation staff will be notified to look into it further.
I created a meme through site XYZ.com but it shows up as belonging to 'Guest'. What do I do?
When you create a meme through one of our partner sites you are given the opportunity to login or sign up during that process. But even if you don't at the time, we store an identifier for your meme in the browser you used to create the meme. The next time you login (even if you have to register first), any meme identifiers found in your browser will be associated with your account. In order for this to work, you have to login to your account using the same computer and browser that you created the meme with.
Why i should join?
As a registered user you can better find and share your created memes and set privacy options for them.
Does my memeIt.net account expire?
No. Your account will not expire and you will always have access to the memes you created, unless of course you delete them in which case they are gone from the site.
Can I delete my content?
Yes. To delete a meme that you created login and go to 'My Memes' -> 'my builds'. From there, find the meme you want to delete and click the 'delete' button.
How can i report a user?
See above in the General Questions concerning what to do about an offensive meme. When you report a meme we keep track of how often meme reports are created for a user. You can also add information to a meme report to explain if something beyond the meme itself is of issue with the user.
